Front Desk and Convenience Store

Our front desk staff is the face of the Inn at Schofield Barracks, and they deal directly with all guest inquiries. A friendly demeanor and positive attitude are a must, and those who have prior experience in customer service tend to be best suited for the position and its many demands.

Minimum Cashier Requirements

  • Good cash handling skills, people skills, typing skills and customer service skills
  • A positive attitude
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Fluent in English
  • Sales experience desirable

Minimum Guest Services Agent Requirements

  • Good people skills, communication skills, customer service skills, cash handling skills and typing skills
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Fluent in English
  • Sales and lodging experience desirable
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree/experience preferred
  • At least one (1) year of front desk operations experience

Lightning Strike

Lightning Strike provides guests a place to get a delicious home-cooked meal without having to leave the premises. We use cooks, cashiers and drivers to keep the restaurant running smoothly. If you have restaurant or kitchen experience and think you'd be a good fit, please inquire at the front desk for any openings. Housekeeping

The Housekeeping Department is truly the backbone of the Inn, and it's crucial that our General Cleaners perform their jobs well in order to ensure guest satisfaction. If you have housekeeping experience, please inquire at the front desk for any openings. Maintenance

The Maintenance Department is in charge of both preventative maintenance, including regular A/C care and plumbing facilities, and fixing problems in an efficient manner as they arise. If you have experience in general maintenance or a more specialized area like heating and cooling, we may have a position for you. Please inquire at the front desk for any openings. Office/Administration

Though they don't deal directly with guests, our back office keeps the Inn running smoothly. If you have experience in accounting/bookkeeping or human resources, we may have a position for you. KITCHEN STEWARD
Overview:
Responsible for all sanitation and cleaning requirements for Deli, Kitchen, restrooms, as well as any other cleaning or labor tasks assigned by immediate supervisor.
 
 
Responsibilities
Sweep and mop floor once every hour as needed.
Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
Separate and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containers; steam-clean or hose-out garbage cans, and maintain loading dock.
Sort bottles, and break disposable ones in bottle-crushing machine.
Display good customer relation skills and takes initiative to greet guests in a friendly manner.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications.
Ensure uniform and appearance is clean and professional.
Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by use of hand truck or cart.
Maintain work area, including all counter tops, utensils, equipment, garbage, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with state, county, and company health regulations and work safety regulations.
Report to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy. 
 
Qualifications
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and line employees.
Ability to absorb large amounts of information quickly.
Ability to maintain good, safe sanitary work practices.
Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, approximately 8 hours.
Must be able to walk for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift, carry and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods of time

Night General Cleaner
Location: Wahiawa, HI
Employment Type: Full time
Position Summary:
This position will be directly responsible for performing general cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area within a facility. Specific duties will vary depending on assignment, but will include a variety of general cleaning tasks, such as described below.
Tasks Include:
Conducting all required cleaning for assigned area.
Gather and empty waste receptacles.
Knowledge of products and their uses.
Sweeping and mopping floors and stairways.
Dusting of furniture, fixtures, ventilation and other surfaces.
Polishing of glass and metal surfaces.
Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
Follow all safety and personnel rules and regulations.
May include cleaning of restrooms and other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Must have ability to work with other crew members and be able to take directions from supervisor.
Must be able to perform all physical aspects of the above job duties. I.e. Bending, stooping, lifting, moving objects from one place to another, climbing, reaching up/down/over, walking, standing, etc.
