The Inn at Schofield Barracks
Directory of Hotel Services and Facilities
Aloha. Throughout this Directory the ‘Inn at Schofield Barracks’ will be abbreviated as the ISB, or it may be referred to simply as the ‘hotel’ or the ‘Inn’.

|
| Airline Telephone Numbers | A list of telephone numbers for the airlines which operate out of Honolulu International Airport (Airport Code: HNL) is contained in the Notices section of this directory. It is entitled “Destination Paradise”. |
| Animals & Pets | No animals of any kind are allowed on property, for the Health & Safety of all guests. If animals are discovered on-site a cleaning charge of $150 will be levied for deep-cleaning services. Service-Dogs are exempt from this regulation, Comfort-Dogs are not. |
| ATM | Guests can obtain Cash-Back from debit cards at the Deli and Convenience Store paypoints. There is no ATM on-site, the closest is at the Nehalani Club: two hundred yards immediately to the south of the ISB. |

|
| BBQ Grills | Barbecue cooking is allowed outside, at the picnic area adjacent to the Housekeeping Office (opposite Room 1093 on the hotel’s north-west corner). Guests are to let their coals cool overnight, or to douse them with water, to ensure they are fully extinguished. Any guests who do not comply with this policy may be held responsible for any or all damage caused by any resulting fire or the actions of the EMS. |
| Beach Safety | A list of Outdoor Safety Tips relevant to leisure activities in Hawaii is contained in the Notices section of this directory. All guests, especially parents, are advised to study it. |
| Breakfast | A full breakfast menu is available in the hotel’s Deli from 0600-1400 hrs. See also Deli. |
|

|
| CCTV | The ISB is covered extensively with high-resolution CCTV cameras for the safety and security of guests, staff and property – yours and ours. The system is utilized for playback and review, it is not monitored in real-time. |
| Check-Out | You must be checked-out with the ISB Front Desk to avoid any additional charges. Check-out time is 1200 hrs, unless otherwise authorized by the Manager On Duty (MOD) or his or her superior. Once checked-out, guests will not be permitted to return their room under any circumstances, unless accompanied by a MOD. Guests are responsible for their room(s) until they have checked-out completely with the Front Desk. If you are checking-out before the original departure date given at the time of check-in, please call ext 310 at the earliest opportunity to notify the Front Desk of your new departure date. If 24 hours’ notice is not given, an Early Departure Fee may be charged in all but exceptional circumstances. |
| Children | Children and families are welcome at the Inn. We strive constantly to provide a safe, secure and welcoming atmosphere for servicemen and women and their families. All guests are requested, however, to exercise very high-levels of supervision and parental control for the benefit of guests without children, or for those on-duty personnel working long or unsocial hours. Quiet-Hours throughout the Garrison is 2000-0500 hrs. Unsupervised or loud and unruly children are the single biggest cause of complaints. Command regulations state that children under 10 are not to be left unsupervised; hotel staff have no choice but to summon the Military Police if and when parents cannot be located. Additional information can be found in the Notices section of this directory, and signs throughout the hotel clearly state that there is to be NO Soliciting, Skateboarding, Bicycle Riding, Scooter Riding, Roller Blading or Ball Playing (see also Children’s Playparks and Supervision of Children below). Safety is our primary concern and the cooperation of all guests is requested at all times. Damage is not uncommon, however – usually due to a lack of supervision – and it is most often found in the landscaping, the elevators, or on the walls, sidewalks or railings. Charges may be raised for any damage and/or cleaning fees for the cleaning of any surface marked with crayon, markers, paint or any other substance. |
| Children’sPlayparks | The nearest playpark is approximately 500 yards from the Inn, two blocks to the west and just beyond the Garrison Swimming Pool. You should be aware, however, that the Inn is striving – with the Command – to obtain support for an on-site Playpark from the relevant off-island authorities. This is proving to be a long process and it has been ongoing for several years. |
| Convenience Store (C-Store) | The C-Store is open 24 hours a day throughout the year. A wide assortment of sundries are available for purchase. Sales of alcohol are prohibited between the hours of 2400-0600. |
| Credit Cards | Credit cards are taken as a form of payment at the Front Desk, Deli and Convenience Store. Cash back is not available from credit cards. |
|

|
| Damages | Charges may be levied against guests in respect of all damage, howsoever caused. If damage occurs to your room or its fixtures, fittings or contents, you are likely to be charged for their repair or replacement and any additional cleaning required. This applies also to the actions of children or other dependents. Smoking causes damage and is prohibited by law within 50 feet of any building, doorway, window or ventilation intake (see also Smoking and Candles). Both fines and cleaning charges (of a minimum of $150) will apply. |
| Debit Cards | Debit cards are accepted as a form of payment at the Front Desk, Deli and Convenience Store. Cash-Back is available at the Deli and C-Store paypoints. |
| Deli | The hotel Deli kitchen is open from 0600-1400 hrs Monday through Friday. It serves a variety of freshly prepared hot and cold meals. Hot and cold snacks, beverages and refreshments are also available at all other times. |
| Dinner | Limited hot & cold snacks are available after 1400 hrs, but no kitchen staff are on duty during the dinner period. See also Deli and Restaurant Delivery Services. |
| Do Not Disturb(DND) Signs
& Privacy Latch |
The management of the ISB fully respects your need for privacy, so please make full and conscientious use of your DND sign and of your Privacy Latch (on the upper section of the lock) when you are inside your room. It is hotel policy, however, that a Floor Supervisor will visually inspect each room every day regardless of the DND sign being posted. This is for health, fire, safety and law-enforcement reasons. If you require complete privacy or rest at certain times, then please coordinate with the Housekeeping Office on ext 350. That will ensure that they can fulfill their obligations but at a time that is convenient to you.
Please note – Room Attendants WILL ENTER the room after 3 days to service it whether requested or not (see also Services below). This may be coordinated with the Housekeeping Office in the same way.
