Though service dogs are exempt from this regulation, therapy dogs are not. If you have a service dog and willingly provide valid certification for the dog, any damages will be charged as they occur.

Unfortunately, at this time we cannot allow dogs over 100 pounds in the guest rooms unless they are service dogs. We appreciate your cooperation.

Please note: In accordance with Island Palm Communities and base regulations, guests may not house in their rooms any dog deemed "aggressive" or "potentially aggressive" unless the dog is a certified military working dog that is being housed with its handler/trainer. Aggressive or potentially aggressive breeds have been categorized as Pit Bulls, including American Staffordshire Bull Terriers and English Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Chows, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers and wolf hybrids. We also reserve the right to refuse any dog that demonstrates a propensity for aggressive behavior regardless of breed.

Per Policy Memorandum USAG-HI-35, Stray and Feral Animal Control, providing food, water or shelter to stray, feral or wild animals, including farm and game animals, such as chickens, pigs and goats, is prohibited. This includes any feral cats roaming the property.

Per Policy Memorandum USAG-HI-43, Stray and Feral Animal Control, all pets must be leashed while in public areas and able to be immediately physically restrained, or contained within a pet carrier or cage. Pets must not be left tied and unattended, or unleashed and allowed to roam freely and at will anywhere outside of a fenced area. Owners must ensure that their pets are unable to escape from a fenced area or housing unit.

Air Conditioning: Every room is outfitted with an air conditioner and thermostat, which you can adjust to your preferences. Hotel staff performs preventative maintenance on every unit and regularly changes the filters; however, if there is an issue, please don't hesitate to bring it to our attention.

Complimentary shuttle services are offered to guests who are already staying here on a space-available basis. Please note that medical guests take priority regarding appointments. Once checked out, guests will not be permitted to return to their rooms unless accompanied by an MOD. If you are checking out before your intended departure date, please dial extension 310 at your earliest convenience and notify the front desk. If you do not give us 24-hours notice, you will be charged an Early Departure Fee. Guests are responsible for their room(s) until they have checked out with the Front Desk.

Children: We encourage parents to exercise supervision and parental control at the Inn for the safety and enjoyment of everyone. Please do not let your children ride bicycles, scooters, roller blades or skateboards onsite. The nearest playground, Kalakaua, is two blocks to the west, just beyond the Garrison pool. The Garrison's quiet hours are from 2000-0500. Please ensure that your children are not acting unruly during this time. Command regulations require children under 10 to be supervised at all times. If parents cannot be located, hotel staff members have no choice but to notify the Military Police. Children between the ages of 12 and 16 are subject to curfew from 2200-0400 daily unless accompanied by an adult. The safety and security of all our guests is our primary concern. When children are unsupervised, damage often occurs at the hotel, and charges will be applied for any damages and/or cleaning fees that result.

In that event, front desk staff will call your room first and verify that you wish to receive the call. The Inn is not able to transfer any DSN or 800 numbers. If you page someone, be sure to give them your room number and last name, so the Front Desk can properly direct the call back to you.
