The Consolidated Open Mess served as a combination Officers Club and Bachelor Office Quarters in the 1930’s and 1940’s. As such, it was the home of such people as Lts George S Welch and Kenneth M Taylor. It is of Moorish design, a popular style in the 1930’s.
