Warhawk wreckage in front of Hangar 4 at Wheeler Field
On December 7, 1941, the aircraft tower was located on top of Hangar 4. For some reason, the Japanese never attempted to destroy the tower, which was critical to field operations. Aircraft parked around the hangar were hit but not the hangar itself.
